چکیده
Abstract Background Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE) seems to be mistaken for the estimation of systolic Pulmonary Artery Pressure (sPAP) especially in patients with severe Tricuspid Regurgitation (TR). This study aimed determine reliability assessment sPAP by TTE this population. Methods is a monocentric analysis 236 consecutive concomitant Right Heart Catheterization (RHC) and performed an heart failure syndrome. Lin's Concordance Coefficient (LCC) Bland-Altman Analysis (BAA) were used compare values RHC TTE. Results The correlation between two procedures was good total population (LCC = 0.80; 95% limits agreement (LOA): 0.74; 0.84), but weaker 78 (33%) TR 0.67; LOA: 0.49; 0.80), propensity underestimation Altered Ventricular (RV) – (AP) coupling did not lead misestimation, contrary elevated Atrial (RAP), which associated about 8 mmHg. presence “C-V waves” sign on RAP curves (Odds-Ratio (OR) 3.32; Confidence Interval (CI): 1.02; 10.9; p=0.04) invasive ≥50 mmHg (OR 2.63; CI: 1.35; 5.16; p<0.01) independent predictors misestimation Conclusion Severe led TTE, if curve shows sign, case high sPAP. Echocardiographic Doppler estimation of pulmonary artery pressure in critically ill patients with severe hypoxemia.
BACKGROUND In spontaneously breathing cardiac patients, pulmonary artery pressure (PAP) can be accurately estimated from the transthoracic Doppler study of pulmonary artery and tricuspid regurgitation blood flows. In critically ill patients on mechanical ventilation for acute lung injury, the interposition of gas between the probe and the heart renders the transthoracic approach problematic. Th...

BACKGROUND: Determining the clinical significance of cardiac murmurs is widely considered in equine practice. Pulmonary murmurs are commonly detected in athletic horses. Echocardiography plays a leading role in assessment of these murmurs. OBJECTIVES: Echocardiographic evaluation of horses with pulmonary regurgitation and determining the importance of pulmonary valve murmurs. METHODS: A total n...
متن کاملGeneral anesthesia with remifentanil for cesarean section in a parturient with severe mitral and tricuspid regurgitation
Valvular heart lesions have deleterious effects on hemodynamics in parturients during pregnancy. Cesarean section with an opioid-based general anesthesia is used to alleviate the adverse effects. We described a case of a 28-year-old primigravida at 37 weeks’ gestation with a diagnosis of severe mitral regurgitation, tricuspid regurgitation, and pulmonary hypertension in active labor. Cesarean s...
